Our 1st Family Trip To London.

our first trip to london as a family

Our first family trip to London…. I was soooo excited!  It’s been a couple of years since we’ve last visited, with having James Joseph and moving it’s just been none stop! As you can see from the picture above one of our first ports of call was Hamleys toy store on Regent Street, http://www.hamleys.com/explore-whatson-london.irs , I couldn’t wait to see James Josephs face as we entered, it’s such a magical experience and there is always something new to see and watch in store, we weren’t disappointed his eyes were wide open all the way round and he loves Paddington bear, nearly as much as me! 1st trip on the underground in london www.mummysmagicalmayhem.com

As much as I love London I must admit I was a little apprehensive about travelling on the underground with our bulky pram, but I have to say it couldn’t have been any easier, there are plenty of disabled and pram accesses throughout the underground stations and lots of lifts available to reach each floor with ease, no need to worry at all! Look at his little face… it was quite a cold day but it didn’t stop our little man from loving his first ride on the underground, he was toot tooting away on a train bless him, he always makes me smile.loving the sites in london www.mummysmagicalmayhem.comLoving the sites in london www.mummysmagicalmayhem.comchasing the pigeons

I have to say even though the weather was really cold it didn’t stop us having a ball, and as we travelled to London midweek all the main places of interest were so quiet it made our trip so much better to get about plus we could let little man run free to his hearts content, brilliant!

After having a great time seeing the sites and loving the shopping we were all ready for something to eat and as we were passing the Hard Rock Café London well it would be rude not to!…http://www.hardrock.com/cafes/london/. The staff were so friendly as James Joseph enjoyed a lovely warm blackcurrant, well I asked for a little blackcurrant in a small espresso cup then added some hot water… he loved it! then sausage and chips with onion pieces in a fantastic guitar shaped bowl. I think there is a real niche in the market for kids warm drinks, when out and about, as they don’t always want warm milk or water, a lovely warm Ribena just hits the spot.

We had a fantastic time in London and lots of new memories were made. I think we need to go back in the summer and do it all again as I don’t feel as apprehensive now travelling with our little man. Happy Travelling!

Love

    Awww, so cute…
We live close to London and the kids enjoy going in on the train. We went to Hamleys last year for a little look about. We haven’t been in yet but I really want to take them in to see the lights. Sarah #ExplorerKids xx

Oh I absolutely love London and so glad you had a good time. I was just as apprehensive with a buggy but like you say it’s not too bad. Definitely think a summer trip is in order 😉 #explorerkids

That sounds great! Now that my little boy is 3 and running everywhere I remember how much easier it was to move around when he was in the stroller… Good to know the London is so kids friendly, noted for a future trip. #explorerkids

Aww… what a lovely day out! The London Underground has some a long way. So much has improved. I was the same like you at first and then I found lots of lovely people willing to help me with the buggy going up and down the stairs if there aren’t any lift. I haven’t been to Hard Rock cafe in years! I love the idea of a cup of warm Blackcurrant – sound so good! Now, why didn’t I think of that before! lol! Thank you very much for linking up with us on #ExplorerKids x
