Winter has to be my most favourite time of the year. When the snow started to fall thick and fast this weekend it was like there was a winter wonderland feeling outside our front door 😉 I couldn’t wait to get all wrapped up and play outside with James, adding those extra layers, putting on our woolly bobble hats and scarves always makes me smile! I couldn’t wait to see James face light up as we headed out for a lovely long walk in the snow 🙂
Here James is raring to go! embracing a winter wonderland as soon as we stepped outside the door. Looking up at the sky trying to catch the snow in his mouth. He couldn’t believe how much was in the sky and kept saying ” mummy it’s everywhere, it’s everywhere!” This was the first time James had felt snow on his face. I couldn’t help but smile, how magical this must feel for him.
As we walked down to the fields James had already mentioned that it was like Elsa in Frozen, and sung “let it go, let it go”, at the top of his voice most of the way down. There’s never a dull moment with toddlers! 😉
I love this coat we bought James the other week from Next, it’s shower resistant padded and really light weight, and comes in lots of different fun colours. I love the orange one and it has an army camouflage lining, which my hubby loves too! We’ve had lots of comments every time he has worn it saying how good it looks! which is always nice to hear from other mum’s. I couldn’t have bought it at a better time with the extreme cold weather we’ve been having and I have to say James has been snug as a bug, so a great buy!
As soon as we arrived in the fields we I could let Molly off the lead. Watching James and Molly having so such much fun running through all the snow was brilliant! James started to make his very first snowball, which he had that mischievous look in his face just as he began to throw it! Luckily Molly thought it was great fun and just kept jumping up to catch them in her mouth 🙂 We love being outdoors if you do too you might like to take a look at this.
I hope you’ve had a magical few days playing with your little ones in the snow. We didn’t have enough to make a snowman, but it didn’t stop us having lots of fun and finding that you don’t need to travel far to find your own winter wonderland! 🙂
