How To Have Amazing Animal Encounters On Thornton Hall Farm. What better way to start our weekend than meeting lots of friendly farm animals. You know how much my little man loves the outdoors well it was like he had won the lottery when we arrived! 🙂 As soon as we walked up to the entrance he had spotted a huge bright green inflatable tractor and that was it he was off!
The staff were really friendly and let you know what’s going on throughout the day, plus if your like me and still suffer from baby brain 😉 there are lots of boards with times of events like feeding and safari rides all over the farm.
James took a real shine to the donkey and loved that he could stroke the animals he was so excited and there’s loads of room for your little ones to run round. You can buy a bag of animal feed for £1 at the entrance or in the café which is great if you want the animals to come closer. There’s also plenty of places to wash and dry our hands after petting and feeding all the animals. After seeing all the animals outside you can go to the indoor area where you can let your little ones loose to play on the tractors, go through the straw maze, play in the giant sandpits, or go down the astra wizzick slides, James is too small to go down the slides but it didn’t stop him wanting to have a go!
Thornton Hall Farm is so clean and full of friendly animals it’s an amazing place for family’s with beautiful views of all the surrounding countryside, there are lots to do and see and you can get stuck in feeding the lambs this time of year which is amazing! We booked to go on the safari which was an extra £3.50 for adults and James went free, well worth it! as it was a 25 minute ride all around the farm which was so much fun bouncing up and down and seeing all the other animals with breath taking views, the tour guide gave lots of information on all the animals on the farm and beyond.
We had an absolutely brilliant day! I would definitely recommend a visit to this farm just check out the website before you go to see opening times and current events http://www.thorntonhallcountrypark.co.uk/
Have your very own amazing animal encounters on Thornton Hall Country Park 🙂
