Sometimes it’s hard knowing what’s right or wrong when it comes to bed time routines, we have always put James down for 7pm, as he is up at the crack of dawn! and have been consistent with having a bath, brushing his teeth, reading a book of his choice, kiss and cuddles then sleep, which has always worked for us, most of the time! Now James has decided that football has to be part of our bedtime routine, surely not!
Here he is warming up trying to do the splits before the kick off, and watching the F.A cup final out of the corner of his eyes.
A few press up’s ;), I definitely think he’s ready to go!
James loves his football there’s no stopping him so after the bath he grabs the ball and he’s off, so when I think I should be settling him down ready for bed, I just go with the flow and let him have his football after a mad 20 minutes of running up and down shouting goal! James settles down on the sofa, that’s my queue to get James his supper, usually half a banana and a glass of milk, after snuggles and his favourite book he rubs his eyes and I know he’s ready to go to bed.
I think my little man has found a passion in football he loves running and kicking the ball with his daddy, not so sure it’s a good idea to be doing it in our living room, but can’t help smiling how happy he is doing it!
Now football is well and truly part of his bedtime routine, I don’t think it takes as long for James to settle down, YAY! Enjoy your bedtime routines with your little ones as these day’s are going so fast in a blink of an eye he’ll be taking himself off to bed. Here’s to lots more giggles and snuggles before bedtime 🙂
