What a fantastic day we had when we visited https://www.wbstudiotour.co.uk/ It was like I was a big kid again, and everything I could have ever dreamed of and so much more….
As the tickets arrived I was soooo excited I rung my hubby straight away to let him, and remembered he just laughed at me down the phone, as he knows I just won’t shut up about it till we get there. He bought them for my birthday, the best present I could had ever wished for, I’m such a Harry Potter geek and couldn’t wait to see where it all began and where J K Rowling’s amazing books turn into a magical world for us all to experience in the making of the films that followed.
As we arrived the staff was so helpful and friendly from driving into the carpark to entering the building which just makes everything feel that little more special, if you know what I mean.
We’re in the hallway waiting for our allocated tour time and I’m just in ore of all the amazing pictures of all the main characters, and the huge Christmas tree just adds to the authenticity to the event, can’t wait to go in!
Here we are just inside the great hall I honestly cannot begin to tell you how amazing the great hall is, the attention to detail is unbelievable! There is so much to take in as you enter you just feel like you’re actually there in Hogwarts, its overwhelming, well to me it was like all my dreams had turned into a reality! From the flaming Christmas puddings, the huge dressed tables, the actual costumes from all the characters, and the top table where Professor Dumbledore stands behind the owl podium, which is actually covered in real gold! with all the other teachers at each side of him, I actually felt I was in the film, my heart was pumping so fast as I just couldn’t take it all in, its an unforgettable experience . Then the reality set back in when we was asked to move on from the tour guides, as we must have been in there ages, so funny!
The tour just gets better and better the more you go through and again the attention to detail is out of this world. I don’t want to go on and on and spoil the adventure there is loads to see and do and its worth every penny, from saying “UP” and the broomstick coming up to your hand, and flying on a broomstick!
It’s the most magical experience you could wish for if you love Harry Potter you must go, as its out of this world! I was truly blown away with the whole tour and if I’m down that way again I will definitely go back and do it all again. A great family day out even though my little one is a little too young yet to appreciate all the incredible features, he loved looking round taking in all the sites and scenes and flying on the broomstick was so much fun.
James just wanted to break out and get onto the train, bless him.
As you can tell I had an absolute ball! Hey and my very own Dobby the house elf, what more could a girl want! loved every minute of the whole day, I have to say we were in there for almost 4 hours! and honestly I could have stayed longer. There is a warm cosy feeling about the whole place and something that everyone from all different nationalities have in common, the smiles, the excitement on all peoples faces as you walk round just makes it all the more special. The Harry Potter stories will go on forever in my heart and can’t wait to share them with my son as he gets older. Thank you J K Rowling for sharing your truly magical stories, and my hubby for buying the tickets!
Love

November 29, 2017 at 10:53 amLove this… What a treat. We went a few years ago for my eldests (and my) birthday treat and then we went again this Febraury for Shannon’s birthday, I know it’s expensive but it’s so worth it for Potter fans. I’d love to go again some day. Sarah #ExplorerKids
