We were so lucky to be invited to spend a day visiting the new #Brickburn Paw Patrol Brick Trail in Blackburn. Today we saw incredible brick models of all James favourite characters. From the hit Nick Jr tv show, including Chase, Skye, and James favourite Marshall!
This is James enjoying Marshall’s Fire Truck. As you can see I’m at the “Ask Me” desk collecting the trail maps ready to begin our adventure!
There are three trail maps to choose from:
1, A PAW Patrol quiz and map of the locations.
2, A brick trail map and quiz.
3, Riddles to help find the six mischievous kittens hidden in Blackburn Market.
We couldn’t complete the kitten one as the market is shut on Sunday’s, but it didn’t stop us from having lots of fun and maybe we’ll come back to do that another day!
Completing The Trail
Before we set off, in a mad rush to get started! We took a minute to plan the best route to get to each 21 models. It’s quite a big area of Blackburn to cover on foot with a four year old. We found all the models in The Mall first, then headed to King George’s Hall, Blackburn Central Library, and Blackburn Leisure club.
It was such a beautiful day. After being inside The Mall, it was lovely to get outside and enjoy the walk round Blackburn town centre. We headed to the Cathedral, it’s years since I’ve been here and had forgotten just how beautiful Blackburn Cathedral is!
(A little tip, the model in the cathedral is up on the 2nd floor 😉
After the Cathedral we headed to The Premier Inn, Morrison’s, The Heart Foundation, Argos, JYSK, and lastly the Vue tenpin. It’s really quite a walk but was lots of fun and James really enjoyed finding out all the clues to complete the quiz.
Each of the pups range in size from 75cm to 120cm high. The attention to detail of each model is absolutely amazing! Each of the 21 models has a fun facts sheet, like how many bricks it took to complete, how many hours it took to complete, etc, and if you scan the QR codes you’ll be in for an extra treat! The trail also feature’s a 2m tall Lookout Tower, a head in the hole wall, as you can see above James loved this! and a Marshall’s Fire Truck selfie-zone.
The World’s first PAW Patrol brick trail is brought and presented to you by BRICKLIVE in venues around the town centre.
The PAW Patrol brick trail (not the kitten trail) will be available 10am to 5pm each day, and 10.30am to 4pm on Bank Holiday Monday and Sundays. Some models will be available beyond this time, depending on individual venue opening times.
The kitten trail will be available during normal market opening times: Mon-Sat 8.30am-5.30pm, closed on Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday.
Parking is really great in Blackburn, there’s lots of parking all round the town centre. We parked at The Mall, Church Street, BB1 5AF. Parking was £2.50, which I thought was really reasonable for the hours we were there.
If you get a chance to visit #Brickburn Paw Patrol Brick Trail before the 1st September, I would defiantly recommend a visit. It’s a free day out with the kids, lots of fun, and a brilliant way to see all what Blackburn has to offer! Don’t forget once you’ve completed your quiz sheet’s, return them to the Ask me Point for your chance to win £100 in high street vouchers!
If you go please let me know what you think of the trail, and which is your favourite model! 🙂 Have a great Bank Holiday weekend whatever you’re doing!
